Welcome to Aylsham Rec

The 11 acre Recreation Ground site was originally given as a public memorial by the Goulder family in the aftermath of the 1914-1918 Great War, where three of their sons had been killed. The ‘Rec’ became home to the Town football and cricket teams at the time.

The Town football clubs have moved on to the much bigger facilities and pitches at Youngs Park but we cater for a number of other local sports groups, and of course as a recreation area for all.
